Living with chronic disease or disability is a part of many people’s everyday lives. This course provides you with the knowledge and skills to advocate for and empower community care clients. You examine the effects of the environment, technology and globalisation on the context of community care and the impact on communities. You also examine different contexts of community care, the social, political and economic perspectives on chronic disease and disability. Using the community as partner model you learn how to participate with clients to develop a plan of care to meet their needs.
