TSM211 Tourism, Leisure and Special Interests


This course examines the nature and scope of tourist behaviour and how this has influenced the development of special interest TL products and services. You are encouraged to think beyond ‘mass’ tourism and to examine new forms of TL that meet emerging, specialty needs expressed by an ever-evolving market consistent with natural, social and community values. Service quality is measured and assessed to evaluate the opportunities for hosts and guests to enjoy positive, worthwhile interactions and shared experiences and how these can be managed to ensure quality experiences.
