Criminal justice systems normally include a special category of ‘youth justice’. The meanings and rationales for this approach are examined in this course at an advanced level, along with patterns of offending and victimisation associated with young people. Attention is also given to specialist agencies involved in youth justice and specific skills required to work with young people involved in crime and criminal justice.
