This course introduces you to curriculum, instructional strategies and teaching, utilising the Queensland and Australian Curriculum syllabus documents for middle phase learners. Alignment between learning outcomes, teaching and learning activities, formative and summative assessment and assessment criteria is featured. The theoretical justification for designing intellectually challenging, authentic, credible and engaging processes of assessment of, for and as learning for students in years 4 – 10 is explored.
