This course develops students’ understandings and knowledge in relation to education for sustainability within a context of care for the planet, ourselves and others. There is a key focus on the interconnections of these elements and on action to develop and maintain ecologically sustainable, socially-just and democratic societies. Students are supported to examine concepts about sustainability through sustainable practices for sustainability. This course promotes education for sustainability for students themselves as lifelong learners and as future teachers who will promote sustainability through their students as active and informed citizens.
