This foundation course will develop your advanced knowledge for Indigenous wellbeing, and skills for culturally safe health promotion professional practice. Working with Indigenous peoples requires you to have critical self-reflective skills for cultural humility, and knowledge of decolonisation methodologies in order to engage with Indigenous ways of knowing, doing and being. You will apply your developing knowledge of decolonisation methodologies and self-reflective skills to critique historical, political, social, and cultural factors contributing to contemporary Indigenous wellbeing.
