This course extends your previous studies in psychopathology and focuses on acquiring advanced knowledge of the aetiological and maintenance factors involved in psychological disorders, their clinical presentation, methods of assessment, and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions. You will also develop advanced knowledge of and skills in using major diagnostic classification systems and theories underlying the major psychological disorders. Ethical, professional and legal issues will be addressed as they arise.
