This course will develop advanced sustainability-focused, ethical and empowered capabilities through a competency-based capstone experience consistent with AQF9 by coursework. This capstone experience will take the form of a community-based health promotion project not dissimilar to a workplace, but under the supervision of a Course Coordinator. Students will apply health promotion professional competencies including needs assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and research, and ethical practice. This capstone experience will focus on consolidating skills of problem solving, collaboration, communication and applying technologies to plan, implement, evaluate and communicate health promotion action in various settings. Reflective practice, project management and facilitation skills will also be developed. PUB700 replaces PUB715 and PUB716 which are to be discontinued as required WIL courses.
