This course extends upon knowledge gained in Sport and Ex Psychology (SPX222), with an emphasis on topics and practical skills relevant to sport and exercise scientists, coaches, and fitness professionals. You will develop and demonstrate your understanding of a range of psychological strategies which aim to positively influence the behaviour and performance of individuals and groups in sport and exercise settings. Other topics include psychological issues experienced by athletes, applied behaviour modification strategies to increase health behaviours, and coach expectations and communication.
