SWK702 Collective Critical Practice: Developmental Approaches

Breadcrumbs

Collective progressive practice, such as those found within critical approaches to community development and social action, are important in our globalised world. Concepts found within the field of community development and social actions are contested and represent diverse meanings. In Australia, with its sophisticated welfare system, some community development projects or programs are funded by government where building capacity and social capital are fraught with conflicting political agendas. You will explore theoretical and practice dimensions of a developmental approach to collective critical practice through a relationship-based community building method and analysis.
