This program gives you the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead and manage your business team. Learn what it takes to be a successful leader. You will explore key issues facing business managers such as strategy, ethics, leadership and change management. You’ll build your knowledge in areas such as strategic planning, decision making, quality control, project management, small business management and entrepreneurship.

This program gives you the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead and manage your business team. Learn what it takes to be a successful leader. You will explore key issues facing business managers such as strategy, ethics, leadership and change management. You’ll build your knowledge in areas such as strategic planning, decision making, quality control, project management, small business management and entrepreneurship.

Develop your problem-solving and communication capabilities to establish good working environments for you and your staff. Our program is taught by industry professionals with many years of management experience in private, government and non-profit organisations.

You’ll have the option to take on a business internship where you can apply your management skills to a real business, gain valuable experience and make industry contacts. The program has the flexibility to enable you to choose from a variety of elective courses to further enhance your management studies. In addition to your management degree, you may opt for a minor in human resource management, international business, marketing or tourism, leisure and event management.

If you see your management career taking you overseas try a semester of study first as part of our Arts, Business and Law. Management is a great base for a career in business and an ideal foundation for further studies in accounting, IT, marketing or international business.

Select 8 elective courses (96 units). Of the electives, 5 (60 units) must be developing and graduate level (200/300 coded) courses. A minimum of 2 (24 units) must be from the USC Business School, and the remaining 6 electives (72 units) may be from either faculty (Arts, Business and Law or Science, Health, Education and Engineering).

In order to graduate you must:

  • Successfully complete 288 units as outlined in the Program Structure
  • Complete no more than 10 introductory level (100 coded) courses

  • Completing this program within the specified (full-time) duration is based on studying 48 units per semester (normally 4 courses) and following the recommended study sequence

  • The unit value of all courses is 12 units unless otherwise specified
  • It is each students responsibility to enrol correctly according to your course requisites, program rules, and requirements and be aware of the academic calendar dates
  • Courses within this program are assessed using a variety of assessment methods including essays, seminar presentations, reports, in-class tests and examinations. Not all courses will necessarily include all methods
