An invitation is extended to all USC students and staff to attend a presentation on April 9, from 5pm to hear SolarQ’s Managing Director speak on delivering significant renewable energy production and storage on the Sunshine Coast.
Gympie’s Giant Solar Farm: Where, When, How
Guest speaker: Scott Armstrong - SolarQ Managing Director - Strategy and Development Delivery
SolarQ has development approval to build phase 1 of an ultimate $2billion solar farm and battery storage development near Gympie. The project, upon completion, will supply 15% of South-East Queensland’s electricity demand.

About the guest speaker
Scott Armstrong is an energy sector expert with 36 years’ experience having worked across sector areas as a consultant, developer, constructor, and operator/maintainer. Working with major energy companies such as Santos, Energex and Tarong Energy, Scott has specialised in site identification, development of innovative energy projects aligning with customer demand, and has a detailed understanding of transmission connection agreements, construction contracts, off-take sales agreements, energy storage, and project financing.
