Received a SU, DE or SO grade?

Breadcrumbs

7 December 2017

If you received a Supplementary Examination (SU), Deferred Examination (DE) and/or Supplementary - Other (SO) grade(s) you'll be sent more information to your student email advising you of the next steps.

A Supplementary Examination (SU) means you have received a final mark between 47-49 and are being given the opportunity re-sit your final examination. If you undertake the supplementary assessment please be aware that it will be marked on a Pass/Fail basis only. No marks will be awarded for this task and the only possible grade outcome for the course overall will be a Pass or a Fail. If you choose not to undertake the supplementary assessment your final mark and grade for the course will revert to the original failing mark and grade.

The Deferred and Supplementary Examination Period is from 23 - 26 January 2018. You must be available to sit your Deferred and/or Supplementary exam at the scheduled time as there is no other opportunity to sit the exam.

A Supplementary - Other (SO) grade means that you will be offered the opportunity to undertake a supplementary piece of assessment in order to identify whether you have achieved the academic standard required for a grade of Pass for the course.
