There is an array of pathways to uni for graduating or recently graduated Year 12 applicants.
Admission to USC is based on applicants meeting the entry requirements for our programs. They can be met in a variety of ways, depending on the pathway you choose to take.
Take a look at our range, no matter if you are OP eligible or OP ineligible:
OP Eligible and OP Ineligible Students
Applicants with an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international equivalent can apply for undergraduate study at USC via QTAC. For information regarding current Year 12 qualifications, please visit school leaver applications.
Regardless of when you completed Year 12 in Queensland (OP eligible or ineligible), interstate or overseas, your grades will be converted to a selection rank.
A TAFE / AQF (Australian Qualification Framework) Certificate III or IV can also provide an entry pathway to USC. In some cases, you may be eligible for credit for prior learning.
Early Offer Guarantee
The Early Offer Guarantee enables year 12 students to be offered an early and guaranteed place at USC prior to the release of year 12 results. Offers are made to students in November based on the approval of their School Principal.
Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP)
If you don’t meet the entry requirements of your chosen program or would like to improve your academic skills before enrolling in a degree, we offer the Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP) program to help you access university study.
Indigenous Direct Entry and Access Scheme (IDEAS)
If you identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, you may be given direct entry to a program based on your potential to succeed through IDEAS. To be eligible for IDEAS, applicants must complete the online form.
