Honours applications


An Honours degree offers you the opportunity to continue your undergraduate degree studies at a higher level and specialise in your area of interest. Honours can be undertaken after you have completed your undergraduate degree studies (End-on) or completed as part of your degree program (Embedded (Differentiated Pathway) or Embedded Honours (Four Year)).

Undergraduate Honours degrees

Honours projects available for study

Discover the many honours projects available for study for both internal and external students through the Faculty of Science, Health, Education and Engineering or Arts, Business and Law.

Refer to the 'Why study this program?' tab on your selected Honours program web page to view the program's entry requirements.

If English is not your first language, you need to meet the minimum English language requirements for your chosen program.

How to apply

End-on Honours degree programs

(excluding the Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) (Honours))

Domestic students:

  1. Make an appointment with the Honours Coordinator within the Faculty of Arts, Business and Law or Science, Health, Education and Engineering to discuss your potential research topic and the availability of suitable supervisors.
  2. Download the Application for Honours program form
  3. Lodge the completed application form with supporting documentation to Student Central by the due date.

International students: Apply through USC International.

Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) (Honours)

Domestic students:

  1. Download the Application for Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) (Honours) and/or the Graduate Diploma in Psychology programs.
  2. Lodge the completed application form with supporting documentation to Student Central by the due date.

International students: Apply through USC International.

Embedded Honours (Differentiated Pathway)

If you are currently studying one of the above USC undergraduate degree programs, you may be eligible to apply for the Embedded Honours pathway. Contact Faculty of Arts, Business and Law or the Faculty of Science, Health, Education and Engineering for information about applying.

Embedded Honours (Four Year)

The following degree programs allow you the opportunity to be awarded with a degree and Honours on their completion:

Applicants must be outstanding current Year 12 students or those returning to study after one gap year to study the following undergraduate degree with Honours program:
