Indigenous Services enhances the health, education and employment aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and community through offering a culturally safe space to explore identity and knowledge.

Indigenous Services helps to achieve this by:

  • organising cultural activities and events within University, eg annual Indigenous Education Symposium
  • providing study equipment such as laptops and textbooks other resources for loan by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students

Dedicated learning spaces on each campus provide a social and study space available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Buranga Centre

Location: EG.33, Ground floor, Building E, Sippy Downs Student Learning Hub, Sippy Downs campus

The space is available 24 hours seven-days-a-week via swipe-card access to our students to provide a place to study, complete assignments, and to connect with other students.
