The Buranga Centre is located in EG.33, Ground floor, Building E, Sippy Downs Student Learning Hub, Sippy Downs campus.

There is a student social and study space available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in a program of study at USC.

The space is available 24 hours seven-days-a-week via swipe-card access to our students to provide a place to study, complete assignments, and to connect with other students.

Our office is open from 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

However, if students wish to arrange one-on-one appointments to discuss academic support services, cadetships, seek advice, tutorial assistance or other student related matters, then it is recommended that an appointment be made with a Student Adviser.

A library of text books and other reading materials are available in the Buranga Centre.

Students may borrow the text books to complete assignments and to assist with study. The library provides an additional source of information but it is recommended that students purchase their own textbooks due to the limited size of the library and range of textbooks available.

The Koori Mail and National Indigenous Times are available to students on a fortnightly basis. These reading resources are available in the student common room.

There are student laptops available for short-term loans and bookings are essential. Students must complete an equipment hire loan agreement for a set-time period, subject to availability. Please also note Policy 1.8: Use of University Property.

Students have access to the laptops to help complete assignments at home, rather than staying late on campus. For more information, please contact one of our Student Advisers.
