Indigenous Services learning spaces

Indigenous Services enhances the health, education and employment aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and community through offering a culturally safe space to explore identity and knowledge.

Indigenous Services helps to achieve this by:

  • organising cultural activities and events within University, eg Indigenous Education Symposium
  • providing study equipment such as laptops and textbooks other resources for loan by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students

Dedicated learning spaces on each campus provide a social and study space available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Buranga Centre

Location: EG.33, Ground floor, Building E, Sippy Downs Student Learning Hub, USC Sunshine Coast

The space is available 24 hours seven-days-a-week via swipe-card access to our students to provide a place to study, complete assignments, and to connect with other students.

Location: Indigenous Services, Buallum Jarl-Bah (BJB) learning space, Building C, C.1.05B

The space is available via swipe-card access to our students to provide a place to study, see an IAM Mentor, and to connect with other students.

Location: Indigenous Services, Buranga Centre learning space, H1.07, H block

The space is available via swipe-card access to our students to provide a place to study, see an IAM Mentor, and to connect with other students.

The Buranga Centre Learning Space at USC Caboolture is staffed three days per week on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Staff are available at all other times via email IndigenousCentral@usc.edu.au or Tel: 07 5456 5889.
