Student Evaluation of Teaching and Courses (SETAC) prize draw terms and conditions


SETAC Evaluations completed during the second half year 2017

University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) students who complete and submit an online Student Evaluation of Teaching or Courses (SETAC) survey for a teaching period with a Census date in the second half year of 2017 will be automatically entered into a random prize draw. This document specifies the Terms and Conditions of that prize draw. Please note that the information provided in this document may be subject to change without notice.

  1. By completing a SETAC survey as specified above you are deemed to have accepted all terms and conditions of the prize draw. Instructions on how to enter the draw and details advertising the survey form part of the conditions.
  2. The University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) is the promoter.
  3. Entry is free (other than the cost of accessing the website which is the entrant’s responsibility).
  4. Entry to the prize draw is open to all students who receive a 'Student Feedback' email invitation and subsequently complete and submit an online Student Evaluation of Teaching or Courses (SETAC) survey.
  5. To enter you must complete and submit at least one online evaluation by the survey closing date.
  6. Survey respondents who do not wish to be automatically entered into the random prize draw should send an email to to advise this.
  7. Entrants to the prize draw will be collated from the list of survey respondents’ email addresses held in the SETAC evaluation system. The email address of survey respondents is stored separately to survey responses. The anonymity of survey responses is therefore assured as responses are not stored against any identifying information. All survey responses are anonymous and responses collected will remain anonymous.
  8. Prize winners will be selected by a random process.
  9. Major prize details are one of one hundred A$50 Coles/Myer gift cards. Only one major prize per entrant will be allocated.
  10. If any prize is not available then an amount representing the value of the prize will be awarded to the winner.
  11. Any change in value of the prizes between the publishing date and the date the prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the promoter.
  12. Entry to the major prize competition commences at 01:00am on 4 August 2017.
  13. The major prize competition will close at 11.00pm (AEST) on 18 March 2018.
  14. The prizes will be drawn on 19 March 2018 at USC Sippy Downs Campus, Sippy Downs, QLD 4556.
  15. Prize winners will be chosen at random from all eligible entries received. The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  16. The prize winners will be contacted via their USC student email address within two (2) weeks of the draw.
  17. Prizes will be distributed by mail to the address as advised by the prize winner. Once posted, USC will deem the prize as delivered to the prize winner and no compensation will be forthcoming if the prize is not received.
  18. If any prize winner cannot be contacted within two weeks of a draw or does not confirm the address to which a prize should be forwarded by the date requested, a redraw will be held for that prize on 16 April 2018. Only one redraw will take place. The redraw prize winner will be randomly selected and notified within two weeks of the redraw.
  19. Competition results may be published on USC's Blackboard or website. By entering in the competition the prize winners agree to grant USC permission to use his/her full name on these sites for up to two (2) months following the draw. If a prize winner does not wish their name to be published, this should be advised by return email to the notification that a prize has been won.

  21. All entries become the property of the promoter. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
  22. If due to circumstances beyond the control of USC, the integrity or administration of the promotion is adversely affected, USC may suspend the promotion. USC may disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
  23. Where personal details of entrants are provided as part of the competition, USC will comply with its Information Management Framework - Governing Policy. All personal information, including email addresses collected will be kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party for any purpose.
