Advanced Log and Woodchip Export Supply Chain Management for Australia Research Scholarship

The Office of  Research will accept application until 4pm on 31 August 2018

In 2015 Forest and Wood Products Australia (FWPA) developed an investment plan to address the research, development and engagement needs and priorities for the Australian log and woodchip export industries. Through industry consultation with log and woodchip exporters, key research opportunities were identified and prioritised for both hardwood and softwood logs and woodchips. The opportunities can largely be divided into two areas including phytosanitary issues and supply chain management issues. The proposed research, development and engagement (RD&E) program focusses primarily on supply chain issues identified in the investment plan leveraging off existing expertise and project activity within the Australian Forest Operations Research Alliance (AFORA), hosted in the Forest Industries Research Centre (FIRC) at the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC).
