Closing date for applications is 31/05/2018

The project will conduct a mass screening of Australian Honeys for Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids and advise the industry on matters pertaining to Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids contamination, and to which honey types that are low risk or higher risk.

This project will develop NATA validated high throughput analytical methods for testing PAs in Australian honeys. This will allow exporters access to a facility to certify the Australian products meets National and International standards. The mass screening of Australian honey types will also assure International importers that the Australian product is clean.
