Title: Impact of an Innovation and Inclusion Climate on Job Satisfaction
The world is changing. Progressive globalization combined with innovative technologies is changing the working environment and as a result, employees are increasingly being confronted with intercultural, multilingual and high technology workplaces. Research repeatedly states that these diverse, inclusive and innovative work cultures can be combined with increased employee performance. However, success for organisations should be measured not only in terms of performance, but also by how the employees feel about their work. This research took a closer look at the fundamental behaviours required for an innovative and inclusive climate and the impact on employee engagement, stress and satisfaction. Two studies were undertaken; a survey of over 16,000 employees in a global pharmaceutical company, and then in-depth interviews with a selection of employees. The findings will help companies to promote and maintain employee well-being, engagement, and satisfaction with the help of innovative and inclusive corporate cultures.
