Tell your research story in 1 minute!
'So, what do you do?' A common question asked at conferences and networking functions. How do you respond? Do you have a one minute elevator pitch prepared?
The Office of the Queensland Chief Scientist invites you (as someone working in a science, technology, engineering or maths field) to a free workshop to learn how to tell your research story, clearly and effectively, in one minute.
First preference will be given to early-career researchers (up to 5 years post-PhD) and PhD students in their 3rd year (or above).
This science communication workshop will be facilitated by Econnect Communication.
Date: Tuesday 10 July 2018
Time: Participants can choose one of two sessions
Session 1: 10 am - 1 pm includes morning tea
Networking lunch for all participants 1-2 pm
Session 2: 2 pm - 5 pm includes afternoon tea
Cost: FREE - transport costs to the workshop are not included.
Location: Building E, Room E2.24, University of the Sunshine Coast, 90 Sippy Downs Dr, Sippy Downs
