Sunshine Coast Council is the local government authority for the area, and is responsible for the sustainable planning and land development across the region. Council has a keen interest in supporting research undertaken by USC, and has a number of previous and ongoing projects with the Stormwater Research Group.

Located in Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast, Parklakes 2 is a property development company formed by two local identities, Peter Shadforth and Robert Flipp. Mr Shadforth is well known in local development and business circles as the founder of Shadforth Civil Contracting and Mr Flipp has years of experience in property development throughout South East Queensland. Shadforth Civil Contracting has developed a strong working partnership with Covey’s and USC, and together we are working on the development and testing of the innovative Floating Wetlands Treatment systems to improve the management of urban stormwater.

Pelican Waters Heart Pty Ltd is a leading Sunshine Coast development company that draws on many years’ experience in developing master-planned residential estates. Located in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, Pelican Waters is a master planned community which, when fully developed, will have a population of approximately 12 000 residents. Pelican Waters Heart has committed to a partnership with USC and Covey Associates to work on the development and testing of an innovative Constructed Floating Wetland in a saline environment to improve the management of urban stormwater in the Pelican Waters community.

Covey Associates is a multi-award winning engineering consulting firm with more than 25 years' experience in engineering, land development, and regulatory approvals. With a commitment to helping clients in the development and construction of quality projects that enhance local communities, Covey Associates are working together with USC on the development and testing of the innovative Floating Treatment Wetlands systems in both Parklakes 2 and Pelican Waters.
The AHSCA is the association of consultants and designers engaged in the design, specification and inspection of hydraulic systems such as hot and cold water plumbing, sanitary and trade waste drainage, stormwater drainage, fire services and gas services. The Association serves as a forum that facilitates the exchange of ideas, experiences and solutions, and for the resolution of problems affecting the profession and practice of hydraulic and fire protection service. The AHSCA is committed to assisting with the promotion and development of their consulting businesses and expanding their individual careers.
