Adolescent Health and Wellbeing
Never before has the world been home for such a large group of adolescents. Adolescents – young people aged 10-25 years – are traversing the complicated developmental milestone of adolescence, leaving behind their childhood and entering young adulthood. Research suggests that if difficulties are experienced as an adolescent, and they are not addressed, these difficulties can remain throughout the lifetime. Therefore the Adolescent Risk Research Unit has a strong focus on understanding and minimising risks for all adolescents, whether these relate to their road safety, their mental health, or a myriad of other factors.
