Sunshine Coast Lightning began as a joint venture between UniSC and NRL Club Melbourne Storm in 2016.

UniSC played a key role in the club's establishment and support continues with UniSC a Foundation Principal Partner.

National Competition

The Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) league competition runs from April to September each year.
