Braedan Jason has spent his entire life in the water. Finding comfort there at an early age, he often enjoyed surfing, paddling his board, and going down to the beach with his friends. It was his involvement in Surf Lifesaving at North Cronulla in Sydney at the age of 8 that helped him master safety and proficiency in the water. With three golds at the Pan-Pacific Championships in 2018 and an appearance at the Rio 2016 Paralympics under his belt, Braedan hopes to continue his fine form in the 400m freestyle and 100m freestyle events over the next two years. Requalifying for the Australian team at the World Championships is his first goal, with a podium finish and an appearance at Tokyo 2020 in sight. Currently studying a Bachelor of Journalism at UniSC, where he is also minoring in creative writing, Braedan is aiming to move into a radio career after swimming.
