Profile 

Kerry Armstrong is an Associate Professor and located in the MAIC funded Road Safety Collaboration Unit. The focus of her research is in the area of impaired driving and regional road safety. She has close to 20 years’ experience in road safety research, management, and policy development, arising from positions with the Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety – Queensland (CARRS-Q) (2000-06 and 2008-18); the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) (2006-07); and the Department of Transport and Main Roads – Queensland (2007-08). Kerry has established a strong profile with national and international recognition in road safety and injury prevention through her work leading high-quality research with internal and external partners and teams that spans discipline boundaries and delivers real world results. She has an extensive project management track record working with government agencies and has led over 50 independent teams in the last 10 years.
