Dr Aimee Riedel joined the USC Business School at the University of the Sunshine Coast in the role of Lecturer in Marketing (Southbank) in July 2019. Aimee completed her PhD (Marketing) at QUT in 2018. Her research focuses on branding effects on consumer responses such as human memory and brand preference with a particular focus on incidental effects. She employs mixed method design approaches including experiments, surveys and interviews. Aimee’s work has appeared in Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Services Marketing and Journal of Strategic Marketing. She recently completed an Advance Queensland industry project investigating haptic touch technology and mobile advertising. This project identified the effectiveness of the gamification of mobile advertisements achieved through haptic touch on a range of business outcomes such as satisfaction, purchase intentions and brand attitudes. Aimee is an Associate Fellow of the HEA and is passionate about innovation in teaching.
