Tara Gamble has a background working as a Registered Nurse and, more recently, in health promotion. As a Registered Nurse, Tara worked in emergency, medical, surgical, mental health and IVF units in a variety of settings including clinics, public and private hospitals across New South Wales and Queensland. In health promotion, Tara worked on a number of programs with communities in alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention and lead the South-East Queensland team of practitioners in this field.
In her teaching at USC, Tara has a strong interest in the first-year experience of health students and the re-development of courses utilising a flipped model for learning and teaching. Tara is passionate about the promotion of equity and salutogenisis as key foundations for public health practice.
