Role

Tegan Schefe Project Officer, Indigenous Engagement and Suicide Prevention. Tegan's role is to develop and implement a strategy to facilitate the contribution and effective participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at the institute and in the suicide prevention programs. As an Indigenous Engagement officer, the aim is to support a system-based approach to the suicide prevention programs, the treatment of depression and improved mental health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Tegan has extensive experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and project management. Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with community, research activities at Thompson Institute in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples mental health and wellbeing will have strategic growth.
