Cian Yang joined the Sunshine Coast Mind and Neuroscience Thompson Institute in 2018.
As a Research Assistant (Clinical Research), Cian is responsible for supporting a range of research activities including participant assessments, data gathering and analysis, assisting with the preparation of journal articles, and liaising with other members of staff and external organisations.
Cian holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) from USC and has over 3 years experience working on a range of research projects in the university sector. Prior to joining the Youth Mental Health team, she worked on research projects in road safety and awareness, and has worked in a variety of administrative roles. Cian has extensive experience working directly with young people, adolescents, and the elderly. She commenced study at USC in the Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) (Honours) program in 2019 and is currently completing her thesis on the gut-brain axis and microbiomes.
