Dr Benjamin Mackie

Dr Benjamin Mackie is a Registered Nurse, Fellow of the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses (FACCCN), and member of Menzies Health Institute, Queensland. With specialist qualifications in critical care and disaster management, Ben was an invited speaker at the World Congress for Critical Care Nursing and is a peer reviewer for several nursing and healthcare journals.

Dr Mackie’s work focuses on Patient-and-Family Centred Care (PFCC) in hospitals, team decision making, and hospital disaster preparedness. He has published several peer reviewed journal articles (h-index of 4) and is an Army Reserve Nursing Officer with over a decade of military experience serving overseas in austere environments.
