Dr Katryna Starks

Katryna lectures in the Serious Games Design program and is a member of USC’s ENGAGE lab. She holds a PhD in Psychology, with a focus on the interplay between game protagonists and identity among youth and young adult women, as well as a Master’s degree in Psychology with a focus on how video games can foster health-promoting behaviours. Her research focus is on how video games can be used to assist with real-world problem solving in a variety of areas such as self-esteem, community support, education and health.
