Elaine Phillips has extensive experience in various roles in the health care sector including:
- Over 13 years’ experience in critical care and emergency nursing which included providing out of hospital emergency air and road retrieval and transfer working closely with multidisciplinary teams, which included paramedics, medical officers and other emergency personnel.
- Experience in various aspects of health care in both management and clinical roles in general practice, community, cardiac investigation, home infusion nursing.
- Previous hospital based certification and experience in midwifery, paediatric and child and maternal health nursing.
In 2013 Elaine completed Foundations of University Teaching to improve her knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment in higher education.
As Clinical Placement Coordinator, Elaine is the first point of contact for students and QAS personnel and coordinates and manages all aspects of Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) clinical placements and placements with aged care facilities and disability services.
