Elise is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of USC's Thompson Institute as General Manager.
Her experience and expertise in finance and research management are helping to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Thompson Institute, a world-class facility for mental health and neurological research.
Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, Elise is passionate about being connected and responsive to the local community to provide better mental health and wellbeing outcomes for the region. One of her career highlights has been developing and implementing the Alliance for Suicide Prevention – Sunshine Coast.
Elise will also help to establish Australia’s first integrated centre for traumatic stress disorders in 2022, as well as implementing a range of strategic initiatives to continue the Thompson Institute’s growth and expansion.
Elise holds a Bachelor of Business Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from UQ, as well as a Master of Business Administration and Graduate Certificate in Health Sector Leadership from USC. She is also a Certified Practicing Accountant and enjoys applying her business acumen in a health and tertiary setting.
Elise is a member of the University Council.
