Julie Hobbins is the Manager, Community Engagement, at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Julie works in collaboration with University staff to develop initiatives that build valuable community relationships and support civic engagement and strengthen local capital, enabling wider community access to and involvement with USC’s campuses.
Preceding her role in community engagement, Julie delivered several projects for the University; a Careers Fair, the Inaugural Masquerade Ball and a Student Retention Plan Workshop. She contributed to the development of peer-led programs, supporting students both academically and socially through the Student Mentor Program and Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS).
Prior to joining the University in 2006, Julie held positions in the secondary education sector and in both international government and private industry.
