Ms Ramsay is an Associate Lecturer and researcher at USC in the area of Public Health and Sport.
Her current PhD explores the role of gender in determining food choices in Small Island developing states. She also assists in researching the factors required to create an
optimal daily training environment for high performance para-athletes. Her background is in diabetes prevention, international aid and public health, with experiences working with local and refugee communities in Australia and the Pacific Islands.
In teaching at USC, Karis has a passion for improving equity for international students. She is motivated to incorporate an equitable and salutogenic approach to health and
wellbeing for all.
