Shannon Barnes

Shannon has worked in varied nursing clinical environments including paediatric cardiology, rural health and nursing education. Since transitioning to academia, she has taught across various subject areas including clinical practice, evidence-based nursing, health assessment and paediatric nursing. With a strong interest in promoting student engagement in learning, she actively incorporates creative delivery styles to encourage learning.

Shannon is completing a PhD synthesising evidence on the psychological impacts of severe paediatric illness on parents, families and health professionals.
