Tony Reed

As Director, Student Services and Engagement (SSE), Tony is responsible for a wide range of non-teaching administrative support services including admissions, enrolments, examinations, graduations, orientation, student financials, Student Central, Student Engagement and Student Systems.

SSE is a progressive area that is student centred in its approach and since the restructure in January 2016, has taken on board many previously provided faculty administrative services to provide single point of support for our students. Tony is the business owner of the Oracle (PeopleSoft) Campus Solution student management system and interacts closely with ICT and business areas on the development and priority developments of this core enterprise system. The Student Engagement area has a core objective of increasing student retention and works closely with students and other areas of the University to achieve this goal.

Tony has previously worked at three other Australian universities in similar positions and has a range of committee memberships in ex-officio capacities such as Academic Board and sub-committees as well as numerous operational and project committees, such as SMS Steering Committees where he has functioned as business owner and sponsor at different stages.
