Description


Biochemistry is an advanced-level science course that forms the basis of understanding of a wide range of biological sciences. The course aims to cover major areas of metabolism including its regulation. The course will cover three principal areas in biochemistry:

. central pathways of metabolism involving carbohydrates, lipids and amino acids;

. regulation of metabolic processes at the cellular, tissue, and whole organism level; and

. the metabolic relationships between organs and tissues.
