The course builds on prior learning from earlier valuation courses, in particular PED220 Property Investment Valuation and Market Analysis. The course looks at the development feasibility analysis process and introduces students to the use of commercially available analysis software as a decision making tool. Topics include: development in a legislative, economic and environmental context; site identification; preliminary legal, financial and environmental investigations; basic feasibility analysis methods; land pricing and negotiations; identifying and using assumptions; market research and analysis; cost and value estimations; sensitivity analysis; development risk management techniques; project financing; property development and taxation.
