After initially completing a Bachelor in Biomedical Science, Yani faced the tough realisation that he didn’t want to work in the health profession. Previously employed in cardiology, Yani propelled himself in another direction and now finds himself working for global engineering consultancy SMEC, based at their Birtinya office on the Sunshine Coast. Having worked on projects in more than 60 countries over the past 70 years, SMEC offers Yani the chance to work from multiple offices within Australia and abroad.
