Undergraduate (my first degree)

Congratulations. You've made a decision which will change your life.

Undergraduate study is the start of an amazing adventure that will take you in the direction of your dreams and, more than likely, beyond even your wildest expectations.

Coming to USC means huge opportunities and new experiences. You will expand your knowledge, explore mind blowing ideas, develop skills, and undertake practical training to help you win that dream job.

There are more than 100 programs to choose from, relevant to the real world and covering a vast array of professions.

We can’t wait to meet you.

An undergraduate is studying their first degree.

USC offers single or double bachelor degrees. Taking between three to four years full-time study to complete, a bachelor degree allows you to deepen your knowledge around a subject you really like. You can also specialise by doing a Major.

We also have double degrees which take up to five years full time, where you can combine interests, for example a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business. These can double your career chances too.

Our programs are offered part-time, as well, and you can change programs if you decide you want to study something else. Usually, you can transfer the academic credits you have gained. Another option is to use these credits to upgrade your degree program.

Graduate Entry is another valuable option. If you’ve completed a relevant undergraduate degree, and want to do another one, USC often allows you to fast track completion of your next program.

Excellent support

There’s no need to be worried about making the grade. We have many student support services to help you with study skills, course advice, getting around campus, what to do about fees, and importantly, getting to know other students in your year.

Our facilities include some of Australia’s most contemporary learning spaces, with purpose-built spaces for you to work and learn – and when the work’s done, to chill with the new people you’ve met.

Quality teaching

USC lecturers have won national awards for teaching quality nine years in a row. They are famous for nurturing their students individually and often work in smaller class sizes to ensure students get the attention they need.

University study isn’t easy, but it’s so very worthwhile! We’re with you every step of the way, with whatever support you need. Just ask us!
