LABS researcher receives SMHR 2018 Early Career Scholar Award

Sunshine Coast Mind & Neuroscience Thompson Institute's Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Dr Larisa McLoughlin, was awarded the 2018 Early Career Scholar Award by the Society for Mental Health Research (SMHR) Awards Committee.

Larisa was presented the award at the SMHR2018 conference recently held in Noosa, Sunshine Coast. The award is presented to SMHR researchers who are less than two years post-PhD and whose work is rising to prominence in the field of mental health research. Larisa works on the Longitudinal Adolescent Brain Study (LABS) and is undertaking her own research in cyberbullying and social connectedness.

As part of the award, Larisa will be featured on the SMHR website and has been asked to participate in a short podcast about her work that will be posted on the SMHR website.

We congratulate Larisa on this well-deserved award!
