This course covers relevant theory and practice about the fit between work design, staffing, remuneration and reward within particular organisational and human resource management contexts. Staffing covers aspects such as the organisation and design of work, including job analysis, job design and job evaluation. It also covers recruitment and selection issues and includes personnel assessment, the interview process and the introduction of new employees to the organisational environment. Issues of termination and decruitment are also discussed. This course also deals with strategies aimed at the retention of staff.
