Psychology of habits for healthy brain ageing

Approximately 50 percent of the risk for developing cognitive decline is modifiable – we want to better understand how to maximize healthy brain ageing.

UniSC’s Thompson Institute is investigating factors that impact how we form habits and our flexibility with them. Our study will use Electroencephalography (EEG) to assess the brain’s underlying neurophysiology that can help bridge gaps in ageing knowledge, leading us to learning how to improve formation of healthy habits in older adults.
