The University is committed to listening to the views of its students and to acting on student feedback.
Throughout the year you will be invited to participate in a range of surveys designed to inform the continuous review and improvement of USC’s courses, teaching, programs, services, facilities and resources.
The development, success and welfare of the University’s students are the main focus of these surveys.
USC takes student feedback seriously and the feedback students provide informs changes to processes, services and research.
For the opportunity to have your say check your USC email account daily and watch out for invitations to participate in surveys such as those shown below.
Student Experience Survey (SES)
Selected students: The SES is a national survey which is conducted for the Australian Department of Education, Skills and Employment.
During August each year, invitations to participate in the SES are sent to student email accounts of undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students (first and final year) who were enrolled in the first half of the year. Alternatively, students can click on the survey link in the SES banner on Blackboard.
eVALU8 Courses and Teaching
All students: eVALU8 is the University-wide student feedback instrument used to collect valuable student feedback on courses and teaching at USC. Evaluations are conducted in each teaching period and your participation is strongly encouraged.
Check your USC email account for invitations to complete your eVALU8 surveys and click on the embedded link/s or go to the eVALU8 survey links on Blackboard.
Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS)
Graduates: The GOS is a national survey of recent graduates carried out by the Social Research Centre.
The survey collects information from graduates about their study experience and the type of work or further study they undertake after completing a qualification. USC uses the results to further develop its courses and programs, maximise students’ study experiences and to provide informed advice to students about career opportunities. GOS results also inform higher education policy development.
Invitations to participate are emailed to graduates in February, May and November each year.
Graduate Outcomes Survey - Longitudinal
Graduates: The GOS-L is a longitudinal study that connects with university graduates three years out from study to collect information on their labour market outcomes.
Students who complete an award at USC and complete the Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) will receive an email invitation three years after their program completion.
The GOS-L invitation is sent from firstname.lastname@example.org during February of each year.
