Not offered until Semester 2, 2025 In this introductory course, student counsellors will learn the contemporary theories and frameworks that inform a practitioners understanding of treatment of Addiction Disorders. Generally these addictions are behavioural and substance. Included will be historical and political influences, ethical considerations, evidence-based practice considerations, advocating for the importance of a humanistic background for treatment success.
