Student Services and Engagement strives to provide a positive, transformational experience for all UniSC students and has a broad brief to deliver key initiatives and services that support students to succeed with their studies, becoming lifelong learners and skilled, future-ready, socially responsible, entrepreneurial and in-demand contributors to their communities.
Services and support are proactive and developmental to build students’ co-curricular skills and competencies across the student life cycle, such as autonomy, career competencies, academic literacies and wellbeing strategies. Our teams are passionate and dedicated to enhancing the student experience to maximise student success and support accessibility and equity outcomes.
The division is made up of four areas:
- Student Business Services provides administrative and academic support to core university functions including admissions, credit assessments, timetabling, enrolments, student finance, scholarships, progressions, graduations and student systems.
- Student Experience provides university-wide, multi-channel student enquiry management, a discrete business improvement team, as well as centralised student communications and orientation coordination for the university.
- Student Engagement and Success provides student learning, support and development services including programs and employability, students as partners, support for learning, student success, wellbeing, safer communities and disability support.
- Indigenous services is a culturally safe environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and offer support via study pathways, mentoring and study assistance, professional networks and conferences, study abroad opportunities, participation at UniGames, community engagement, and programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander school students.
