Dr. Nick Kokkas joined the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2023 as a Remote Sensing & GIS Analyst with the Tropical Forests and People Research Centre.
Nick has more than 18 years of experience in geospatial analysis and data preparation. He has extensive experience managing projects, conducting quality assessments, and optimizing mobile ArcGIS applications. His recent work has been in tree species identification, vegetation classification and multi-temporal analysis of forest degradation/deforestation from multispectral Hyperion, LandSat and Sentinel data.
